Who am I?

I remember being asked to write 'about yourself' essays in school and hating it! I'm a talker (and listener) not a writer so I'll keep this brief and if you want more information - give me a call! (Ok you can email me too if that's your style!).

I'm Scottish by birth and Australian by adoption (since 1988). I have a daughter who is the love of my life and who drives me round the bend at times. We live with our cat and huge garden in Lenah Valley.

When I'm not working or playing with my daughter I'm into Scottish country dancing, swimming, entertaining, reading, gardening and sleeping.

What's my work focus?

My passion is facilitation. I've facilitated teams and/or mentored other team facilitators for the last "bleep" (ok... over 17 years or more) across Australia, also more recently worldwide, in a range of environments and for different purposes. These include:

organisational change and planning
staff professional development activities
achievement of qualifications

Currently I'm fascinated by the opportunities for facilitation presented by the internet. While by no means a 'technofile' I'm curious enough to be learning fast.

I like getting the 'mix' of technology and face to face activities right and helping others to achieve this too. I especially like finding low cost tools that work. J

I have worked in Australia and overseas in private enterprise (small, medium and large), in a range of local state and commonwealth government agencies as well as in community based organisations. I've been in Tassie since 1994 and love it.
